CRISTOBALITE

Cristobalite is produced from the calcination of high-purity silica sand at temperatures of approximately 1500°C. The high whiteness, chemical resistance and low density make Cristobalite a versatile filler with a wide range of applications across multiple industries.

Properties

  • high degree of whiteness (colour value Y > 97)
  • Low density of 2.35 g/cm3
  • High chemical stability
  • High temperature stability
  • Low thermal Expansion

Applications

  • Engineered stone
  • Coatings
  • Dental impression composites
  • refractory ceramics
  • abrasive material
  • Polymers
  • Animal feed
